Lucio Tomasi, a dynamic drummer, composer, and educator hailing from New York City, brings a rich tapestry of influences to his music. Born in Paris in 1997 into a family of comedians and actors, Lucio's journey into music began with classical violin and music theory at the early age of 7, eventually discovering his passion for drums at 15. His musical trajectory took a decisive turn towards jazz during high school, under the mentorship of saxophonist Luigi Grasso and further refined at the Conservatoire du 9e arrondissement, delving deep into jazz language and theory.

From 2017 to 2020, Lucio honed his craft at the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, graduating under the guidance of mentors such as Riccardo del Fra and Dré Pallemaerts. Beyond the classroom, he shared stages with luminaries of the French jazz scene including Géraud Portal, Laurent Courthaliac, and China Moses, showcasing his talent at renowned venues and festivals across France and Europe, from Jazz In Marciac to the San Andreu Jazz Festival.

In 2020, Lucio's musical journey led him to New York City with the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, where he studied intensively with master drummer Kenny Washington at Purchase College. Embracing the vibrant New York jazz scene, he collaborated with acclaimed musicians such as Pasquale Grasso, Antonio Ciacca, Jon Faddis, and Clovis Nicolas, further shaping his distinctive musical voice.

Today, Lucio Tomasi is a sought-after presence in both Paris and New York City, captivating audiences with his dynamic performances and enriching the jazz community through his insightful teaching. His music transcends borders, blending European sophistication with the pulsating rhythms of American jazz, marking him as a versatile artist poised to make a lasting impact on the global jazz stage.
